Eduardo Ceniza y el Baraw Sugbo.

Hola amigos Eskrimadores.

This is an informative interview introducing Baraw Sugbo in Spanish. This video clip shows Maestro Eduardo Ceniza talking about his blade only system of Eskrima. Lorenzo Saavedra, mentioned by Maestro Ceniza, was one of the early Eskrimadors during the Spanish rule in the Philippines, his style of Eskrima is the foundation of the Doce Pares and the Balintawak styles.
This very secretive style of knife fighting was then passed on to Lucrecio Albano, who then taught it to his nephew, Gregorio Ceniza. Another notable Baraw Sugbo practitioner not mentioned in the interview is Balintawak legend, Venancio “Anciong” Bacon.
An authentic indigenous Filipino martial art that is very practical and realistic. This interview shows a martial system in gritty, realistic style. Non-commercialized. This is the real thing!
Romy, thanks for the aditonal info.
Thank you for uploading the interview and the photos of many filipino and foriegn eskrima practetioners. Sorry that in your interview with me, I skip some important names who also had made great contribution to the system Baraw Sugbo like “Anciong”Bacon , glad that Romy Kho had made his comment earlier
